From NYC area
Take the NY State Thruway to Exit 24, Take exit 1N for Interstate 87 to Montreal. Take I-87 North to Exit 30 and make left at the exit ramp. Follow Rt. 73 past Keene and into Keene Valley. Turn right onto 9N North at the Elm Tree Inn. Follow 9N north through the town of Upper Jay. Continue until you reach the town of Jay. Turn left onto Rt. 86. Go 5 miles to a 4-way stop sign and turn left. We are 1000 feet on the right.From Montreal
Take I-87 south to Exit 34. Take 9N south through AuSable Forks to Jay. Turn right(west) onto Rt. 86. Go 5 miles to a 4-way stop sign and turn left. We are 1000 feet on the right.
From Boston
Take Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to Albany. Pick up I-787 north to Cohoes. Connect with Route 7 west to I-87 north. Follow I-87 (Northway) to Exit 30, then use final directions above: "From New York City..." Drive time: 5 hours.
From Ottawa
Take routes south to the Cornwall Bridge. Pick up Route 37 east to Malone. Follow Route 30 south to Paul Smiths and pick up Route 86. Continue on 86 through Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. At the Sunoco Traffic Light stay straight on Rt. 86 for 12 miles. We’re on the left about 1000 feet before the 4 way stop sign. Drive time: 3 hours.
From Toronto

Take I-90 (NY State Thruway) east to Exit 36 (Syracuse). Pick up I-81 north and follow to Watertown. Take Route 3 and follow it east to Saranac Lake and pick up Rt. 86. Continue on 86 through Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. At the Sunoco Traffic Light stay straight on Rt. 86 for 12 miles. We’re on the left about 1000 feet before the 4 way stop sign. Drive time: 5 1/2 hours

Lake Placid Airport
The Lake Placid Municipal Airport is about one mile south of the village on Route 73. Hours of operation: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily. 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. in July & August. Runway: 4,200 feet. Services: Air Charter flights from most airports, scenic flights, tie down, and repairs. 518-523-2473.
